• 75g butter, softened
  • 125g cream cheese, softened
  • 130g icing sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 100g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 40g pecans, roasted and roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey, optional
  • 4 x The Natural ABE'S Bagels

Sweet brekkie lovers, this one’s for you. Banana, chunks of choc, and a generous swipe of brown butter cream cheese.



Melt butter in a small saucepan over a moderate heat, continue cooking until butter has browned and become aromatic. Set aside to cool.

Place softened cream cheese, icing sugar, ground cinnamon and vanilla extract in a large bowl, use an electric beater to beat until smooth. Add the brown butter and beat until pale and well incorporated.

Cut bagels in half and lightly toast.

Top bagels with a generous smear of brown butter cream cheese, sliced banana, chocolate, pecans and a drizzle of honey.
