THE KIWI BAGEL BURGER

Ingrediants

  • Serves 4
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 500g premium beef mince
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 slices swiss cheese
  • 4 cos lettuce leaves
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 12 slices tinned beetroot
  • 12 slices gherkin
  • 4 x The Natural ABE'S Bagels

A colossal tower, not for the faint hearted.

Method

Season beef mince with salt and pepper and divide into 4 large patties.

Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large non-stick frypan over a medium heat.
Fry patties until golden brown and cooked to your liking. Set aside for 5 – 8 minutes to rest.
Heat remaining olive oil in a non-stick frypan. Fry eggs until whites have set but yolks are still runny.

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup and minced garlic. Cut the bagels in half and lightly toast.
Smear a generous spoonful of the sauce onto the base of each bagel. Top with patties and remaining ingredients.
