  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 brown onion, diced
  • 1 green capsicum, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 teaspoons ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground chilli
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 600g beef mince
  • 2 x 400g tins of crushed tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sauce, eg, HP
  • Sea salt
  • Cracked pepper
  • 80g cheddar cheese, grated
  • 8 x The Parmesan ABE'S Bagels

With mouthwatering mince, Worcestershire sauce & parmesan cheese, this beast is bound to turn your brunch plans upside down.


Heat olive oil in a large non-stick frypan over a medium heat. Add the onion and capsicum and fry until softened. Add the garlic, herbs and spices and fry for 1 minute. Add the beef mince and fry until browned, break up any large chunks as you go. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, brown sugar and sauces and gently simmer for 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Cut the bagels in half and lightly toast.

Place a generous spoonful of mince onto each bagel base. Top with cheddar cheese and bagel lid.
